Friday Night Skate organizes 'entry-level skate', the perfect moment to participate (for the first time)

In the coming summer months, June / September, FNS will organize an FNS 'entry skate' on the first Friday of the month.

Lower speed, shorter distance. The ideal evening to get acquainted with the Friday Night Skate if you have no experience of skating with a group or if you are unsure whether you can keep up with the pace.

We roll at a speed of 13 km/hour. That is the average speed of a bicycle, or a 3,3 km lap of the Vondelpark (see below) in 15 minutes. The length of the tour is 12 to 15 km, some 4 to 5 rounds of the Vondelpark.

The tour takes 2 to 2,5 hours, including a break of 20 to 30 minutes. During the break fast/speady skaters can make an extra lap or sprint.
Check https://www.schaatsen.nl/learntoskate/ for videos on safe skating, corners, braking and obstacles.

Next Entry-level skate

Friday 1 July the tour will go to the Bosbaan. For the fast/speady skaters we do a sprint along the Bosbaan, while the other skaters can take a break and maybe get a tip about skating technique or just enjoy the view at the Bosbaan.

You are most welcome to join!
